AGG is a highly effective anti-oxidant. This anti-oxidant contains
Astragalus, Grape Seed Extract, and Green Tea Extract. Its main constituent
is polyphenol, which contains about 95% catechins. One of the most beneficial
catechins is EGCg, which comprises about 60% of the catechins. The highest
concentration of EGCg is found in both green tea extract and grape seed extract.
A recent report from Prof. Lester Mittecher of Kansas University, states
that catechins are power anti-oxidants. It does not only protect normal
cells but can also prevent bacteria from mutating. It reduces the ability of
bacteria to resist antibiotics. The anti-oxidant power of catechins is
better than Vitamins A, C and E.
The April, 1999, issue of Nature Health Journal featured a section
dedicated to the effectiveness of green tea. In this report, a research team
from Sweden discovered that green tea contains specific chemicals that inhibit
angiogenesis, a process that can facilitate tumor invasion. Experiments on
mice demonstrated that beneficial effects that EGCg, an enzyme found in green
tea that has been shown to inhibit the formation of lung cancer.
Clinical studies have illustrated the various benefits of AGG. This potent
product is 50 times more powerful than Vitamin C and 20 times more powerful
than Vitamin E. AGG does wonders in increasing the amount of collagen (a skin
protein) and elastin-binding proteins, which results in smoother skin.
It is used also to inhibit inflammatory enzymes, which reduces the pain caused
by arthritis, sports injuries and headaches. AGG can also inhibit histamine
formation and reduce symptoms of allergic reactions. It is also capable of
strengthening capillaries, arteries and veins, aiding in the resistance of
leakage, bruising, varicose veins, strokes and diabetic retinopathy. It can
reduce the risk of phlebitis, edema and swelling of the legs. AGG also improves
joint flexibility, helps jog an inactive memory, and regulates blood
pressure and cholesterol levels.
AGG contains 20-times-pure Astragalus membranaceus, an herb that is
recognized for its immunostimulatory activity and its seemingly remarkable
ability to restore the activity of a suppressed immune system. For this reason,
it is sometimes used by people infected with HIV for its purported immune-
enhancing as well as its antiviral properties.
The effect os Astragalus on the induction of interferon was conducted in
China, Led by Hou Y , on 28 patients. Results show that interferon
production by leukocytes was statistically increased. Andrew Weil, MD, of the
University of Arizona, primarily recommends Astragalus to improve immunity in cancer and
AIDS patients.
